Dr. Demetre Katrivanos BSc, ND
Dr. Katrivanos is a licensed naturopathic doctor registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. In addition to his degree in naturopathic medicine (ND), Dr. Katrivanos also completed and obtained his degree in conventional medicine (MD) from Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherlands Antilles. He has had training in clinical settings at Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital. Dr. Katrivanos completed his Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) from McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario. He also furthered his training by completing medical education courses in Cancer Medicine and Haematology from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Katrivanos has a patient-centered practice and his focus lies beyond the symptoms, that entails an understanding and addressing the origins, prevention and treatment of complex, chronic disease using a whole-body systems approach.
With a foundation in both disciplines of medicine, Dr. Katrivanos is a strong proponent of the integrated quality of both conventional and naturopathic medicine. Dr. Katrivanos' focus is on treatment and prevention through the use of clinical nutrition, diet and exercise, use of latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques, medical acupuncture, and prescribed combinations of botanical medicines, supplements, therapeutic diets, detoxification programs, and stress-management approaches.
In this way, Dr. Katrivanos supports the unique expression of health and vitality of his patients and empowers them to transform their health and well-being.
Dr. Katrivanos is an active member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP), the Canadian Society of Orthomolecular Medicine (CSOM), and the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISNN).
